The Birding Club of Delaware County (BCDC), in partnership with Middletown Township EAC, is pleased to lead a bird walk at Longview Park (formerly Smedley Tract). Longview Park is a key component of Middletown Township’s open space program, providing important habitat and community space for the benefit of wildlife and people. We’ll walk the edges of woodlands and a small wetlands to look for woodpeckers, bluebirds, sparrows, raptors, and early spring migrants including phoebes, swallows, and more.
The walk is about 1 mile on fairly even surfaces. Bring binoculars if you have them; a few will be available to borrow on-site. Meet on the east side of the lot; there is ample free parking. There are no restrooms.
All are welcome, members and non-members.
