Join us as we walk through the woodland trail to the creek trail and wetlands at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge. We will meet in the gravel parking lot off of Route 420 at 8 am. We will be looking for all of the species of waterfowl that grace us every winter, like Northern Pintails, Green-winged Teals, Ring-necked Ducks, Common Mergansers, American Wigeons, and others, along with the usual Northern Harriers, Bald Eagles, woodpeckers, and winter sparrows. If it rains close to the walk date, you may want to wear waterproof boots, as the beginning of the trail can get a bit muddy.
