October brings peak shorebird departures, waterfowl arrivals, and migrating sparrows and raptors to the refuge’s pools and trails. Join us as we caravan around the 12-mile wildlife drive, stopping often to view and identify birds, walk the boardwalk and check out the sites from observation towers. One of the leaders will have a scope to share close-up views. We’ll meet in the visitor’s center parking lot around 8:45 am and will begin the caravan at 9 am. As always, all are welcome; you don’t have to be a member of BCDC to join any of our trips or events. Leaders: John Zygmunt (610-986-4667) and Kristy Eleftheriou (215-909-0818).
