DESCRIPTION:A colony of Purple Martins has been nesting at the Glen Mills S
 chool property for many years\, utilizing special mini condominiums built 
 specifically for the birds. These beautiful swallows are declining due to 
 habitat loss and dwindling insects that are essential for survival. Conser
 vation efforts include setting up nestboxes\, monitoring\, and banding the
  birds.\n\nOn July 8\, all are invited to observe and learn about banding 
 the nestlings at Glen Mills\, a long-running annual event conducted by fed
 erally licensed bird banders. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the incredi
 ble experience of seeing birds up-close.\n\nDrive into the school and look
  for banders at the cluster of white boxes in the main courtyard area. NOT
